This one didn't come from a workshop we can name. It came from a shop counter.

Bags like this have been part of Indian commerce for decades, printed in bulk and given away free with a purchase, a small thank you from a kirana store or a local business to a regular customer. Nobody designed them to last. They were marketing, meant to carry a week's groceries a handful of times and get forgotten in a cupboard.

Except they didn't get forgotten. The canvas held up. The zip kept working. The print outlasted its own advertising. Somewhere along the way, people just kept using them, long after the free sample or the sale that came with it was gone, because a bag that's genuinely good at its job doesn't need a reason to stay in circulation.

We found this one the way we find most things, on the ground, in a market, doing exactly what it was made to do. We can't tell you which press printed it or which shop handed it out first. We didn't commission it and we're not going to pretend otherwise. We just recognised it for what it was and brought it home.

A bag that feels like something you found rather than something you bought.

This isn't a bag we commissioned to spec, it's one we sourced as it exists. Print placement, ink saturation and exact shade can shift slightly from piece to piece, because each one came off a real run made for a real shop, not a batch made to order for us. That's not a flaw to smooth over. It's the proof this is the genuine article.

UK delivery

• Standard delivery — £5.95, free over £60. Royal Mail tracked, 3–5 working days.
• Express delivery — £7.95. Royal Mail tracked, 1–2 working days.
• Order before 2pm Monday–Friday for same-day dispatch. Orders placed after 2pm, or over the weekend, dispatch the next working day.

International delivery

We ship worldwide. Rates and timeframes calculated at checkout based on your destination. Customs duties and import taxes are not included and are the customer's responsibility.

Returns

You have 14 days from receiving your order to return it. Items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging.

For change-of-mind returns, we email you a Royal Mail returns link — no printer needed, no postage to pay upfront. The cost of return postage is deducted from your refund.

For faulty, damaged or incorrect items, we cover return postage in full and refund your original delivery charge. Sale items are final.

Every piece in our collection is sourced directly from artisan workshops we know by name. We pay fairly, we visit often, and we believe the people who make a thing should be valued as much as the thing itself. We use natural dyes wherever possible, plastic-free packaging in every order, and we donate a share of every sale back into the craft communities we work with.
