A block-printed pouch in white on an olive green ground, with a contrasting blue floral frill all around. Lined in green cotton satin, finished with a gold zip and our metal tiger.
Roomy enough for your daily essentials, slim enough to slip into any bag. At home in a handbag, carry it inside a tote or a carry-on or use it as a clutch on its own. A pouch that feels like something you found rather than something you bought.

The Treasure Hunt

In a Bagru workshop, offcuts and remnants are never wasted. Lengths of cloth from one print sit alongside lengths from another, and occasionally a printer will put two together in a way that has no rule behind it other than an eye for what works.
The Green Dot Blossom is this kind of pairing. The body of the pouch is a small four-petal flower repeat, white on olive green, a tight geometric grid that covers every inch of the ground with quiet precision. The frill is a different cloth entirely, a small blue floral from the same workshop, gathered and stitched around the perimeter so that the two prints meet at the edge in a combination that earns its confidence.
Both patterns are traditional Bagru prints, each one cut from teakwood blocks and pressed onto cotton by hand. The olive green ground of the body is dyed before the white resist pattern is applied. The blue of the frill is dyed separately, the small floral printed over it in its own sequence. Two cloths, two dye baths, two sets of blocks, assembled into one object.
The frill is gathered by hand around the perimeter of the pouch, the blue floral breaking into movement as the cloth is pleated. A gold zip runs along the top, finished with a self-fabric knotted tassel and our small metal tiger.
The pouch that proves two prints are sometimes better than one.

A note on natural variation

Every Green Dot Blossom pouch is printed and stitched by hand, so no two are quite the same. Because this pouch combines two separate fabrics, the variation appears in both. You may notice the olive green carrying a slightly different warmth from piece to piece, or the blue of the frill sitting at a marginally different tone. The small repeat of the body print means any variation in placement is visible and honest. The frill is gathered by hand, so its fullness will shift slightly around the pouch. Two fabrics, two dye baths, twice the character.

Our Promise

Every piece in our collection is sourced directly from artisan workshops we know by name. We pay fairly, we visit often, and we believe the people who make a thing should be valued as much as the thing itself. We use natural dyes wherever possible, plastic-free packaging in every order, and we donate a share of every sale back into the craft communities we work with.
