A block-printed pouch in cream on a warm dusty rose ground. Lined in pink cotton satin, finished with a gold zip and our metal tiger.
Roomy enough for your daily essentials, slim enough to slip into any bag. At home in a handbag, carry it inside a tote or a carry-on or use it as a clutch on its own. A pouch that feels like something you found rather than something you bought.

The Treasure Hunt

Khaak rang. The colour of dust. The colour of the road between Jaipur and Sanganer in the dry season, of the walls of old havelis in the afternoon light, of the earth itself in this part of Rajasthan. It is not a glamorous colour. It is the colour that everything else grows out of.
The jaal on this cloth is a dense flowering vine, large open blooms and broad leaves travelling across the dusty rose ground in cream. The contrast is quiet rather than loud, the cream sitting close enough in warmth to the ground that the pattern rewards attention rather than demanding it. From a distance it reads as texture. Up close it resolves into something intricate and precise, every flower rendered with the clarity that Sanganer's finest block printing is known for.
Multiple blocks, printed in careful sequence. The outline of the vine comes first, laying down the structure. Then the fill, the cream building up within each petal and leaf until the motif is complete. The dusty rose ground sits beneath all of it, warm and unhurried, the colour of a Rajasthani afternoon.
The cotton is cut and stitched into a flat pouch, the jaal continuing across every face without interruption. A gold zip runs along the top, finished with a self-fabric knotted tassel and our small metal tiger.
The pouch for someone who finds quiet patterns more interesting than loud ones.

A note on natural variation

Every Khaak Rang Jaal pouch is printed and stitched by hand, so no two are quite the same. The close tonal relationship between the cream and the dusty rose ground means variation here is subtle but present. You may notice a flower where the cream sits a little fuller in one petal, or a section of vine where the outline caught slightly more pigment. The dusty rose ground may carry a slightly warmer or cooler tone from piece to piece. This is a pattern that rewards looking closely, and the closer you look the more the hand behind it becomes visible.
